This is a games site used by children, so we keep this short and plain. The short version: we never ask you for personal information, and nothing you do here is tied to a name.
No accounts
There is nothing to sign up for. We never ask for a name, an email address, a date of birth, or a photograph.
What is stored on your device
Games remember a few things in your browser’s local storage so they work properly: the scoreboard, the stars earned in the maths game, the nicknames a child gives chess pieces, the chosen age band, which chess set and play mode you used last, the language you picked, and whether sound is muted. This never leaves your device and we cannot read it. Clearing your browser data deletes all of it.
No advertising
There are no adverts on this site and there will not be any. We load no advert network, no advert script and no advert cookie, so nobody is building a profile of your family in order to sell them something. The hosting is paid for by the people who choose to send a gift.
Measurement
We do not run behavioural analytics or tracking pixels, and the pages load no third-party script at all. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, which include IP addresses, for security and for counting visits.
Gifts and game requests
Two buttons lead off this site, and you decide whether to use either. The support button hands you to PayPal, who take the payment under their own privacy policy — we never see your card details, only that a gift arrived and whatever name PayPal shows beside it. The "request a game" button opens your own email app with a message addressed to us, and nothing is sent until you press send. We read those emails to work out which game to build next, we never add you to a mailing list, and we delete a message whenever you ask. Please leave a child’s personal details out of it — we only need the idea.
Children
We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, children included. If you believe a child has somehow sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
